Dr Daniel McIlgorm - Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Practitioner.
Daniel qualified from the Dublin Dental Hospital in 1986 and was in general dental practice for 18 years. He completed a masters degree in Medical Education in 2008 along with a postgraduate diploma in statistics and then completed his MSc in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2013 with distinction which was registered as an Additional Qualification with the Dental Council of Ireland under regulation 31 of the 1985 Dentists Act in June 2024.
Daniel was a Problem Based Learning (PBL) curriculum tutor at the Dublin Dental University Hospital and has also been involved in dental diagnostic imaging teaching to both undergraduate students and dental care professionals. He has undertaken research into radiographic image quality and has published both internationally and in the UK.
He is a former member of the Irish Dental Association (IDA) quality and patient safety committee and maintains a keen interest in radiation safety legislation and governance.
Daniel now concentrates on Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology (DMFR) and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging practice.
